Abigail’s Shortbread Cookie Mix

Recipe Makes 12 Cookies

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 1 pack Abigail’s shortbread cookies
  • ⅓ cup (105 g) jam or preserves flavor of your choice
  • 1 Stick of Butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Prepare Abigail’s Shortbread cookie dough by following provided instructions.
  3. Once dough has chilled, drop rounded 1 tablespoon of dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press the centre of the cookies with your thumb or the rounded back of a teaspoon to gently press an indent in the center of the cookie dough.
  4. Refrigerate cookies 10-15 minutes or until fully chilled
  5. Place your jam/preserve in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat for about 5-10 seconds or until jam has just loosened up and warm. Scoop 1 tsp of jam into the indents made in the centre of the cookies.
  6. Bake on the middle rack of a 350 F for 9-12 mins or until sides a light golden brown.
  7. Let cookies cool down and serve.
