Caramel Apple Bread Pudding

Abigail's Cinnamon Vanilla Bread Pudding Mix

RECIPE SERVES 4

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 1 box Abigails Kitchen Bread Pudding Mix
  • ¼ Cup (2 oz) ¼ inch diced apples
  • 1/2 Cup (4 oz) of Milk
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ¼ Cup (2 oz) Caramel sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of butter

Caramel Sauce (Optional)

  • 1/4 (2 oz) cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp (1 oz) unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp (1 oz) heavy cream
  • 1 Tsp Salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Follow provide instructions of Abigail’s Kitchen bread pudding mix. Adding 1 additional egg and ¼ cup of diced apples to egg mixture. Continue with provided instructions.
  2. While still warm drizzle ¼ cup of caramel sauce on top of finished bread pudding
  3. Serve warm

Caramel Sauce

  1. In a medium-small saucepan add sugar and water together
  2. Stir very gently at the beginning until sugar is dissolved, then cook sugar on medium heat until a deep amber color is achieved. Do not stir too much to prevent crystallization.
  3. Remove from heat. Slowly mix butter and heavy cream to caramelized sugar.
  4. Once thoroughly mixed, add small pinch of salt
  5. Serve warm
